Whereas I don’t really have a new haircut (but I do need one), this is simply to reference the fact that my first domain is finally alive and kicking. Welcome to Joy Fixation, Renée’s and my personal website. Enjoy your stay around here. Look for lots and lots of new pictures (and more coming very soon, as soon as I get my digital camera back) and more special features as the year progresses. You’ll find most everything organized in a similar fashion to mr3).

We’re already ten days into the new year and I’ve broken every New Year’s resolution that I made (which was only one). Oh well. I think that New Year’s resolutions exist just for the sole purpose of not keeping them, kind of like how hiccup cures exist for the sole pleasure of the person watching the hiccupper take their “medicine.” Life is grand, no?

So much (and then again, not so much) has been going on around these parts. A whole team of peeps went up to Denver for Christmas Conference, and this is the first year in four that I and Renée (two years for her) have not trekked up there together. It was weird to have lunch with Scott yesterday and hear about Christmas Conference, without any understanding of what actually happened, like I’ve had in years past. But I’ve been out of CRU for over a year now, so I’m adjusting to other things, I guess.

This is the end of my first week of work for the New Year, and it has been one of the longest. I guess after being spoiled with so much time off, it’s hard to get back into the groove. Things are going well though, as my database project nears version 1 and other cool technological wonders occur throughout the company. Unfortunately, I have to spend the weekend here (at least one day) to get things done.

But, Renée and I are going to see a wonderful movie tomorrow at the dollah-theatah: Jonah, a Veggietales Movie. Woohoo!
