Baby Brain.
Comedy, Family, Life April 26th, 2008Renée and I sit outside between baby feedings, enjoying the warm spring air, listening to the birds chirp.
Mark: “It sounds so weird when there’s no birds chirping outside; it’s really relaxing when they chirp.”
Renée: “Yes, I have always wondered, where do they go all winter? Mexico?”
Mark: “The southern hemisphere, where’s it’s summer.”
Renée: “Oh, okay, so Mexico.”
Mark: “Uh, no.”
Renée: “I mean, Chile! Chile!”
Mark: <laughs>
Renée: “Looks like you’re going to be teaching our children history, too!”
Mark: “You mean, geography?”
Renée: “Uhhh… yeah!”

Funny, Mark and I were just sitting at the table after dinner, looking out the window at the second cold, cloudy day in a row, talking about why the birds next door weren’t as loud as normal. We figured it must be almost winter here in Chile. Great minds think alike…and know that Mexico is NOT Chile!

Yeah, tell me about it. Jeff and I were driving to church on Sunday, and I looked over at him and said, “You look nice. You decided not to wear your glasses this morning?” He looked at me funny and laughed without replying. I quickly remembered he had LASIK almost FIVE MONTHS AGO! sheesh. And it only gets worse with each kid!

Yet another “Baby Brain” thing I did today. I was on my way to my one-hour glucose test this morning, but first had to take the dog to the groomer. On the way, I totally spaced out and drank a 32-ounce Sweet Tea from Chic-fil-a on the way. HELLO!? Not sure what I was thinking. Now I have to reschedule for Monday!!
