A Little Nostalgia.

For those of you who grew up with a Nintendo, you’ve got to watch the following—make sure and watch the entire thing!

Spider In The Corner.

Random 5 comments »

Last night before I went to bed as I was brushing my teeth, I noticed a larger-than-normal spider just “hanging” around in the corner of my bathroom, about halfway up the wall. I didn’t think too much about him (or her) and just went about my business. I went to bed, not giving him much more thought… except that one about him being in the shower with me in the morning, but it didn’t really give me nightmares.

For issues of simplicity, let’s call this spider Horace. I looked for him in the shower this morning; no Horace. He wasn’t in his spot that he was in last night, either: he was instead about three feet higher.

A myriad of questions ran through my head. Why do spiders seem to only move at night? What’s the significance of being three feet higher? Do spiders contemplate life when they are sitting still? Do they think at all? Are they sleeping?

Anyone who can give me valid answers will win my utmost respect.

Another Birthday Wish.

Happy Birthday, Kevin Eudy! I hope that your day was filled with lots of good… stuff. Congratulations on your big day, tiger!

That’s all. Sleepy time now.

Happy Birthday Scott!

Today is Scott’s big 21. He’s growing up so fast! Gosh, that little guy was never going to be tall enough to drive, and now look at him! Maybe 150 lbs. of pure studliness. Go bro.

Ever have one of those horrible cases of the yawns? I’m in mid-yawn right now. Then your eyes start watering, and you have difficulty staying awake. Grrr… I hate it when that happens. I think it must be something in my lunch: leftovers from dinner last night that I prepared for Renée. A delightful chicken Parmesan imitation that just seems to throw the food-coma on full force.

Xavion is almost complete. Anyone want to help me beta test it? I’ve set up a logging system that should “hopefully” catch all the errors in it. It’s pretty cool. The only things missing now are the full-featured message board (okay, maybe that’s a little far-fetched—I’ll use this instead) and an integrated poll system.

Today at lunch the Lord allowed me the unique and awesome privilege of sharing my testimony with my office-mate! Talk about awesome. I told of my impressions of Christianity as a relationship, not a religion, and how that has changed my life forever. God is definitely good.

Authentic Manhood, tape four, tonight at 7:00pm. The final installment in the series. Ungh.

One little mistake, a lot of chiding. Sheesh. :)

I’m off to White Sands tomorrow morning bright and early. In fact, I’m not quite sure what I’m doing up right now. I think I will go to bed.

This is quite the interesting entry, no? Quick recap of the day’s events: got up early, ran errands all day, picked up Renée’s friends at the airport, went to dinner, came home, Mark is ty-ty.

Indy Saved The Day Again.

After surviving the snakes, rescuing the girl, and defeating the Nazis, your hero and mine, Indiana, saved the day—again. I didn’t think he would lose it, but he really surprised me.

This is the end of the week-long saga of updating every day. I can take a little breather, but I’m going to try and do my best not to do so. Yeah, we’ll see how long that keeps up. It seems that I haven’t been home before 10:00pm any day this week, and won’t until Monday or so.

Tomorrow: work. Tomorrow night: Abba’s Joy reunion and gig-playing at Hope Evangelical Free Church. It’s gonna be fun to sing again.

Goodnight.

Rice, Rice, Baby!

Tuesday is date night. Tonight, Mark and I went to the Anderson’s for dinner. All I can say is, mmmmm, mmmmm, mmmmmm! Tasty morsels. We ate grilled shrimp kabobs, wild rice, asparagus, bread, salad, apple pie, hot cocoa for Mark, coffee for me. This might sound like a nice little meal, but in fact, it was of culinary excellence!

Wanna know a random fact? After you eat asparagus, your pee-pee smells funny (more funny than usual, that is). After our dinner, Mark came home to test it out.

It’s true.

I discovered this information second-hand. Ewwww!

Another highlight of the evening: Dan shared the last of his thin mints with us. What a guy! This opportunity was too good to pass up.

Another random fact: a sneeze averages 70 miles per hour. If you could sneeze with your eyes open, your eyes would pop out. This has nothing to do with our evening. Heehee!

Love, Renée

P.S. Hi Mommita!

I went to Wal-Mart today to get myself a space heater. I arrived at this conclusion after a couple of realizations:

1. I’m always cold at work. They love to keep the temperature right below my prime operating temperature, so I’m always working with cold hands.

2. My house was 53 degrees this morning. Yeah, we’re replaying last winter. Our furnace lights up, but as soon as the fan comes on, the fire goes out. Curses!

3. It’s stinkin’ cold outside. Bless Albuquerque, but it has got to be a couple of the coldest days yet this year. And, the wind doesn’t help things either.

So I went to Wal-Mart today to get myself a space heater.

And you know what? They are out. Completely and fully. Dag-nab it.

In other events, I took communion at church, had lunch at the Beijing Palace, had a great servant team meeting, and drove Renée around town to take “funny” pictures. More to come on that later.
